A spicy new name and look.

BPR came to us with a brief for a bold new Mexican restaurant on Prospect Road, one of Adelaide's most competitive dining strips. The task: name it and brand it.

We developed four fully realised brand concepts, each with its own name, identity, and distinct look and feel, giving the client the space to explore before committing. Picoso was the unanimous winner. Meaning "spicy" in Spanish, it's a single word that captures the flavour, energy, and spirit of the restaurant instantly. Memorable, pronounceable, and loaded with personality.

With the name locked, we built the visual identity around bold colour and expressive hand-drawn typography, a deliberate departure from the polished minimalism common across the Adelaide hospitality scene. The result is a brand with genuine character: vibrant and high-energy without feeling temporary, and contemporary without losing the warmth that makes a neighbourhood restaurant a local favourite. We extended the brand across the website and menu design.

The outcome is a confident and bold, built to become a Prospect Road fixture, the kind of place people bring every visiting friend and family member, year after year.
