Designing the overall brand identity and collateral for 88 North Terrace, a modern and sophisticated luxury student accommodation, we worked to create an overall sleek and striking brand, fleshing out brand guidelines, a sleek website, and elegant street signage.

PROJECT GOAL

Create a eye-catching brand identity that captures the elegance and sophistication of Adelaide’s newest luxury student accommodation.

CHALLENGE

Having already worked with a different agency and the original brief to create a brand targeting workers in Adelaide’s medical precinct, we had the challenge of redefining the look of 88 North Terrace when the project goal changed.

The target demographic changed to focus on the surrounding university precinct, and with the upcoming Adelaide University merger, creating a brand that connected to a younger, university student demographic was key. All while maintain that sense of luxury and sophistication they had originally been working towards.

SOLUTION

Our final approach worked with sans serif typography and a stacked, offset layout that created a sense of fun and energy. Working with Ready Made who created a striking street art style graphic to use within the ‘88’, we injected a sense of youthfulness into the design, all while maintaining clean, simple design to connect to the sophistication and modernity of the overall build.

Developing several logo variations, as well as the overall colour palette which remained neutral and classy, we created a brand suite for 88 North Terrace that connected them to their desired younger demographic.

We expanded their brand across their website landing page, as well as environmental graphics and billboards for marketing purposes.

OUTCOME

The project is currently under development on North Terrace and we can’t wait to see it all come to life!
